A Message from Pastor Jesse
|
Hey Mission Campus,
Looking forward to worshiping with you all this weekend as we kick off a new sermon series in 1st Corinthians! We are back to two services and Children's Ministry is available at our 9:00am service.
Also, for all of you who serve at Northview Mission, you are invited to our Ministry Training Day tomorrow morning. Doors will open at 8:00am with a light breakfast being served, followed by a time of training from 8:30-9:30am. After the large group training, we will separate for ministry specific breakout sessions. Child care will also be provided from 8:30-10:30am.
Have a great weekend everyone,
Jesse Schellenberg

Each month, we’ll be supporting a different organization in Mission. This is a no obligation, low barrier opportunity for those that call Northview “home,” to help our community in a variety of ways.
SEPTEMBER: HOPE CENTRAL Did you know that many people who rely on food assistance have dental issues, or struggle to chew solid foods? Some of the most common things that are asked for from our Food Centres are foods like applesauce, fruit purées, canned soups (with pop-top lids), instant mashed potatoes and other soft foods.
Join us this month as we collect soft food items for those affected by houseless-ness who visit Hope Central. Drop off your items at the Connect Desk during any one of the weekend services throughout the month of September.

This weekend, kids will "bump up" to their new classrooms for the year, based on the grade they've started this Fall. But don't worry! You won't need to do anything differently this weekend as Check In's will automatically bump up your kids for you.
*Nursery will continue to be for children age 6 months to 2 years (born in 2023/2024), and the age 2 class will be for children born in 2022.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask at the check-in desk in Children's Ministry this weekend.

Have you checked out our Family Resource Corner located in Northview Kids? We've got some new material that will be available this weekend, and would love for you to browse, find a resource to encourage, disciple, and/or learn about amazing people of God, but please be sure to leave it for the next person.

Northview Seniors Ministry is excited to announce big changes to our Seasons Ministry! To better accommodate all Northview seniors, we’re transitioning from our traditional Seasons luncheons to an exciting Sunday evening concert series for the 2024/2025 ministry year. These four special events will feature inspiring music from our talented musicians, delicious desserts, warm fellowship, devotionals from our Seniors Pastor, and performances by special musical guests.
We’re thrilled to kick off the series with Calvin Dyck, Steve Otterbein, and Nicolenco Trio as our special guests for the first concert, happening at our Downes Road location in the Worship Centre on Sunday, September 29 at 6:30pm.

Timothy Trust is a Canadian organization committed to training individuals in expository preaching. Northview will be hosting the Timothy Trust Conference on November 12-14, featuring insightful teaching from Jeff Bucknam, Northview's former Senior Pastor; John Neufeld from Back to the Bible Canada; Simon Manchester from Australia; and Jonathan Griffiths from Ottawa.
Our Women in the Word team has been invited to lead a pre-conference event and a special breakout session for women. If you're considering which event to attend, both offer unique benefits. However, if time or resources are limited, choose the one that best fits your current needs.
The Women in the Word Workshop provides practical tools and hands-on experience to help deepen your Bible study skills, while the Timothy Trust Conference is designed to inspire and equip individuals to become faithful Bible teachers.
We hope to see you at one—or both—of these enriching events!
